Location: Farrington Hwy, Waialua, HI
Though relatively short at 5-miles long, the ATV trails here are very popular with the locals, following an old railroad bed and dirt road that ran along the westernmost point of Oahu. Kahuku Motocross Track
Location: 58-288 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI

Kuaokala Access Road
Location: North Shore, Waialua, HI
While not the easiest off-roading in Hawaii, this more than 16-mile trail has only light traffic so it’s well-suited for ATV riders and UTV riders that want to enjoy peace and quiet riding through picturesque forest lands. The trail can become extremely slippery and muddy during rain showers, and large mud bogs can form. This is an extremely beautiful area to visit anytime.

The area covers over 4,000 acres, and is comprised of a nature preserve and an active cattle ranch with more than 600 cattle heads 120 horses, as well as 200 sheep. It has been on the Department of Interior’s National Register of Historic Places since the 1970s.

Location: Kamehameha Highway and, Cane Haul Rd, Haleiwa, HI
As guided ATV riding tours go, this one places a bigger emphasis on adventure and excitement that many others, taking you exploring over the unpredictable Oahu terrain. The trail spans nearly 19 miles of climbing, crawling and sloshing through muddy trails and over rugged mountain terrain. Expect unforgettable views of the Waiʻanae mountains, Haleʻiwa Town and the iconic North Shore coastline, along with plenty of rare, native plant life.

When you’re looking for exciting Hawaii ATV riding, this 7-mile out-and-back trail fills the bill, providing both picturesque views and challenging riding to satisfy even the most experienced 4-wheeler riders. The trail traverses a ridge through mostly native forest up to the Ko`olau Summit, and it provides a great view of the “pyramid mountain,” Pu’u Ohulehule. Plus, it’s not far from the highest peak on the island, Ka’ala. Consistent rain in the area can provide some ATV and UTV riding challenges.
Sand Island OHV Area
