Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area

When it comes to riding your ATV, Kentucky has a premier spot in Land Between the Lakes, with over 500 miles of ATV trails winding through 170,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and open lands on a peninsula between Kentucky and Barkley lakes in Western Kentucky and Tennessee.

Each trail is marked for difficulty. Riders will have an opportunity to see over 240 species of birds in the area, along with a host of other wildlife. Within the complex, Turkey Bay OHV Trails offers about 100 miles of diverse trails, ranging from level meadows and sandy beachside paths to rolling hills and rocky terrain, plus a “turkey trot” trail is ideal for those 16 and under to practice their riding skills.
