Kisatchie National Forest Complex

The Kisatchie National Forest Complex is spread across seven Louisiana parishes (aka counties to non-Cajuns) and includes 604,000 acres with nearly 200 miles of paved and unpaved ATV and UTV riding trails. Among many, four of the most popular ATV trails are listed below.

Clairborne Multi-Use Trail System: offers over 90 miles of marked wooded trails, over three separate loops. The North Loop has 32 miles of ATV trails, the Woodworth Loop has 20, and the Boy Scout Loop has 30 miles for of trails for off-roading adventures. The trails take riders through the World War II military fort known as Camp Claiborne, the training ground for over 500,000 of our troops. These trails are recommended for beginner and intermediate level 4-wheeler riders. Count on hard-packed terrain that can turn into a mud pit when it rains.

Camp Livingston Trail Complex: this area was formerly a WWII camp and has been repurposed into a multi-use trail system that sprawls across 4,480 acres. It’s got two moderate loop trails: the nearly 23-mile Little Creek Loop and the 13-mile Hickman Trail. The trails feature weave through pine upland forest and sandy hardwood bottoms, including numerous creek and stream crossings. These trails are recommended for beginner and intermediate level 4-wheeler riders.
