Addison County
Though one of the few counties without any resident ATV clubs, Addison County nevertheless boasts some popular 4-wheeler trails.
It is one of the six counties that call themselves home to the 400,000-acre Green Mountain National Forest which offers popular ATV riding trails and UTV riding trails with spectacular views and an abundance of area wildlife including beaver, moose, coyote, black bear, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and ruffed grouse. Additionally in this county, Lincoln Gap Road is a steep and narrow ATV riding road that connects the Champlain Valley with the Mad River Valley, offering spectacular views along the way, and the Robert Frost Memorial Drive provides riders with beauty and solemnity that likely inspired much of Frost’s poetry.
