The Snowy Range

An average of 300 inches of snowfall each year turns this vast stretch of wilderness into a winter paradise, offering some of the best places to snowmobile in the state.

Riders of all abilities will enjoy the 300 miles of snowmobile trails scattered throughout the Snowy Range Mountains, two-thirds of which are groomed and maintained throughout the season. Thanks in part to the elevation changes, from 7,000 to 11,000 feet above sea level, there is a wide variety of terrain in this area, from forested glens to high-alpine bowls to rolling meadows, and everything in between.
